DEAN FORD & THE BEAUTIFUL ONES: A TRIBUTE TO PRINCE

Dean Ford embodies PRINCE with every fiber of his being, giving you a show as close as you will ever get to the real thing. Ford and company perform all the hits you know and love, including the Purple Rain album in its entirety. He's got the look, the moves, and the sounds down jaw-droppingly well. Since their first sold-out tribute to the Purple One in 2011, Dean Ford and his musician friends have been performing to enthusiastic crowds at venues throughout the U.S. and Canada. Lately, Ford and his core band, The Beautiful Ones, have plenty of surprises up their frilled sleeves.

Free Admission! In Federico Fellini's 1960 Italian film, restless reporter Marcello Rubini (Marcello Mastroianni) drifts through life in Rome. While Marcello contends with the overdose taken by his girlfriend, Emma (Yvonne Furneaux), he also pursues heiress Maddalena (Anouk Aimée) and movie star Sylvia (Anita Ekberg), embracing a carefree approach to living. Despite his hedonistic attitude, Marcello does have moments of quiet reflection, resulting in an intriguing cinematic character study.

Drake Heating & Air, along with Andrew Gaydosh & Associates, proudly present the 15th Annual Lake Lakengren DrakeFest, a family-friendly event featuring a movie, laser light show, and fireworks. The gates at the Marina will open at 5:30 pm, with food trucks open and ready to serve. The Ohio State football game will begin streaming on Screen #2 at 7:30 pm; Grease (1978, John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John) will light up Screen #1 starting at 8:00 pm, and the Laser Light Show and Fireworks will begin at 10:00 pm. Come out for 8 weeks of Fall Fun! Enjoy the task of completing the huge 24-acre Corn Maze while seeking 18 checkpoints. Indulge in apple cider donuts, apple cider slush, and everything fall. Each year, the corn crop is harvested and the cash value of the corn crop is donated to Dayton Children's Hospital. Over the last 10 years, Today’s Harvest has donated over $110,000 with the help of their generous Corn Maze Sponsors. The sound of The Desert City Ramblers is a combination of gritty Southern rock edge and blistering musicianship, with the kind of compelling storytelling that is the foundation of old-school country music. Band members include lead singer and former Top 10 solo artist Brian McComas, guitarist Scotty Bratcher, keyboard player Andy Smith, bassist Kieran Cronley, drummer Matt Salvo, and guitarist Bart Walker (who also plays in Hank Williams Jr.’s band).

The Preble County Pork Festival has been celebrating “pork” --and everything that goes along with it--for over 40 years. Hundreds of vendors and exhibitors will be participating to ensure there’s never a dull moment. The annual UniDiversity Festival, a collaborative initiative to promote intercultural awareness, connections, and engagement, highlights the valuable contributions of the Latin American, Latino, and Caribbean peoples and cultures. This year’s Festival, held on September 30th, will kick off a month full of activities encompassed within the National Hispanic Latino American Heritage Month at Miami University and Oxford. A variety of entertainment, activities, and games will be featured in the Parks, as well as food vendors offering traditional cuisines and information about Hispanic-Latino services available through local community organizations and Miami University.
