From 6 PM - 10 PM, the city of Oxford will be “expanding” the sidewalks by closing ALL of High Street (from Beech St to Campus Ave) while spreading out on the bricks! Participating businesses will set up tables on the sidewalks and in parking spots on High Street with select items for sale, from food to retail. We're encouraging each business to play some music from their individual tables so as you walk from one end of High Street to the other, going table to table, you'll enjoy a unique, ever-changing musical experience!

OCAC’s feature movie this month is Zootopia (2016-PG), an animated comedy/adventure about a bustling city where animals live and prosper. This year’s parade theme is “Salute to Freedom – Oxford Style,” so parade participants will be decorating with lots of red, white, and blue! The cash prizes to be awarded for Best Floats are: 1st - $100; 2nd - $75, and 3rd - $50. Kids ages 3 through 12 can decorate their bikes for the Bike Parade, and pet owners who want to participate in the Pet Parade can dress up their pets in patriotic costumes.

Jim Kleefeld, Ohio’s master library presenter, will give a 60-minute talk on the Civil War, complete with personal stories and artifacts from the 1860s. These are carefully researched tales about families, men, women, children, those who went to war, and those they left behind. You will see and learn about clay bullets, tintype photos, medicines, handkerchiefs, books, and even a Bible that survived the war.
